An Early 19th Century Italian Brass Candlestick

Of most impressive size, the triangular out-curved base stands on three shaped “paw” feet, and supports a tall vase-shaped column with a flared drip pan at the top. The integral candleholder, or socket, rises above the drip pan.

Wonderful rich bronze colour and patina.

Italy, circa 1800-1820.
